Adriano Zumbo offloaded Sydney pad just weeks before his dessert business went into administration

Adriano Zumbo offloaded his Sydney property just weeks before his dessert business went into voluntary administration.

Last month the ‘pastry king’ pocked an impressive $1.7 million for the pad after it was sold to an anonymous bidder.

The personality picked up a clean profit from the sale, with The Daily Telegraph reporting that he had bought the Balmain property for just $675,000 back in 2003.

The sale was no doubt a sweet surprise for the chef, who reportedly hoped to sell the abode for $1.65million when it landed on the market.

The property sits on a 340sqm lot and features three bedrooms, one bathroom and a state-of-the-art kitchen.

The home is also located just 800 metres from Adriano’s flagship Balmain store, which he opened in 2007.
