Ron Crouch Transport has been acquired by Freight Specialists, a Sydney-headquartered operation that boasts depots across Australia and New Zealand.
Ron Crouch Transport was placed into voluntary administration last December with owner Geoff Crouch citing sham contracting, challenging economic conditions, pressure on rates, driver shortage, the never-ending burden of government and over regulation as all having played their part in the difficult decision to step aside.
In a LinkedIn statement announcing the acquisition, Freight Specialists said it will transition the Ron Crouch Transport sites and services in an “orderly and considered manner” over coming weeks.
“Our priority throughout this process is to ensure continuity of service and minimal disruption for customers,” the statement said.
The statement added that Freight Specialists is a family-owned Australian transport business with a long history of providing reliable, customer-focused freight solutions.
